Christine Ewan
My work is continually evolving and is influenced by my local landscape and different environments and cultures that I have encountered in travel. I am drawn to the built environment as it demonstrates the history of people interacting with the landscape as well as to the insignificance or anonymity of people in the landscape. This extends to interiors and still life as an interaction of person and place.
I continue to experiment with finding the “sweet spot” between realism and symbolic expression.
